“Mothering as a Work of Art” Workshops

Empowering workshops centered around genuine conversations on the realities of motherhood—both the joys and the challenges—prioritizing restorative healing.

Our workshops provide a safe and nurturing space for women to come together collectively, share their stories, and explore the depths of their experiences as mothers. Led by licensed psychologist Dr. Richardson, often joined by experienced co-facilitators such as master teaching artists and other mental health professionals, encourages open dialogue and mutual support as we delve into the complexities of mothering.

Throughout the sessions, participants will engage in self-reflection and creative exercises, including crafting their own birth stories and/or other narratives around motherhood. These exercises serve as powerful tools for self-expression and healing, allowing women to rewrite their personal narratives as a way to reclaim authorship over their lives.

Included in the workshop, each participant will receive a copy of our anthology, "Mothering as a Work of Art." This book serves as a source of solidarity, empowerment, and affirmation—a reminder that no mother walks alone.

Our workshops culminate in a healing circle, a safe and accepting space where participants can bask in the collective wisdom of community and connection.

Join us as we embark on a journey of authenticity, healing, and empowerment. Together, we will explore the creative expression and artistry of motherhood.
